Blue and Hannah (Lola) have moved in together and are find their way in love. Hannah has quit the club and is kind of aimlessly wandering around now that she has her GED and accomplished some basic college courses. Blue's friend, West, comes to stay with them and things get a bit out of control for Hannah. Parts of this book confused me because for all of the Blue's notions that he knows what's best for Hannah, he sure doesn't go about it the right way sometimes. Hannah is very insecure and after a lifetime of being abandoned, she sure isn't trusting happiness right now. Hannah is waiting for the other shoe to drop and West's presence on the scene doesn't help her apprehension. Blue wants to do right by Hannah and West and doesn't always go about it by asking what she wants. Blue controls Hannah and even West gets uncomfortable by it. Hannah thinks she is worthless and has no issue with Blue treating her that way and I wanted her to stand up for herself. It saddened me that not only did she expect that treatment, she thought she didn't deserve any better. Blue was tough for me to take when he kept pushing her because he said she was stronger than even she thought. Tough love is one thing, brutal love is another. I actually think she should have left with West to see what adoration and gentle love would have been like.Product details

This review is based on the prequel and first three novels in the Stripped series.
Warning Explicit sexual scenes. Violence, coarse language and light BDSM. 18+
I love the strong writing style of Skye Warren. She is able to get in the mud and create a story that is filled with tough uncompromising realism.
The characters didn't exactly have sweet and gentle upbringings. They have carved out a life made from the hardest of stones. Survived through desperate situations and found their own dark romance.
Blue's army buddy Drew comes to stay at his place until he can find work and a place to live. Lola is awaken in the middle of the night by horrible sounds, she wakes Blue he runs to see what it is. It's Drew having a horrible night-mare he must be suffering from PTSD .Blue offers to share Lola to help him cope with his problem. I found this very controlling and sick. Blue is very tough on Lola, West is gentle and kind and treats her like she deserves to be treated. In many ways she should leave with West but Lola likes the rough stuff. Lola does get a backbone and tells Blue she doesn't want a child until she figures out who she is. Blue and Lola confess their love for each other, as twisted as it is it works for them.
4 star because there were not real page numbers.
Couldn't put it down. I loved that the author was giving us readers more of Blue and Lola. Their story was so compelling in "Better When it Hurts". This continuance of their story, and the addition of an another character is great. The push and pull between the characters is fantastic. I just wish there had been more. Without revealing anything, I completely get where the author was taking the new character and agree with the action that he took because it was in line with his personality. If real, I wouldn't have expected to him to react in any other way. Honorable. But as a reader, the sex scenes were HOT, and I would have loved to have seen a couple more.
Have enjoyed this series a lot. The darkness is believable. Not over the top. The characters are relatable and flawed, but you want them to win. This is book 4 (if you count the pre-quel). I would love to see a book with more of the couple covered in the first book, Honor and Kip.
First experience with this author. Will be reading more.
This novella in the Stripped series, provides a little extra glimpse into the lives of Blue and Hannah. Taking place after the end of 'Better When It Hurts', the two have settled into a life of domesticity.
While the two seem to have finally figured things out, Hannah's insecurities prevent her from feeling content. She's always waiting to be cast aside, unwanted. Even with Blue, she feels like she's on edge, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
When Blue's Army friend moves to town, he stays with the couple until he can get settled in a place of his own. Fighting his own demons, his presence adds an interesting dynamic to Blue and Hannah's relationship. Almost immediately, there is a little kinky sex play taking place.
Although the sex scenes were hot as hell, I did find Blue's willingness to share Hannah, in any capacity, to be out of character. It just didn't sit quite right with me, even though the scenes were well-done and highly erotic. I just couldn't see it.
Overall, I thought it was a highly entertaining novella. It was quick, sexy and added to the series as a whole. It provided a glimpse into Candy's story, serving as the perfect lead-in for the next book in the series, which tells her story. I will be starting the next book immediately.
Blue and Lola are back and they brought back a new friend. Blue and Lola are better than ever in a relationship and totally in love with each other. Blue invites one of his past military friends to spend some time with them. West stays with them and tensions rise when the boys share memories about the women overseas. Blue never touched, but he watched West and other women. Lola is curious about how that all happened and the boys bring her up to speed by Blue having West watch them. Lola gets attracted to West but loves Blue. Will West come in-between Lola and Blue?
This book is so HOT. Lola and Blue by themselves are one thing, but put West, Lola, and Blue together and you get Caliente!!! I felt so bad for West, he wants something like Blue and Lola has, but he tries to steal Lola from Blue. I so thought a war was going to happen, yet instead, Lola knows who she wants. I love this couple so much that they become my favorite Stripped couple.
